Here is an interesting project. There were several unique features on this katana.
1. Saya is inlaid with rice paper and the lacquered white. This has an effect of gently showing ricepaper texture.
2. The customer requested not-to-exceed mounted weight of the sword of 910 grams. We ended up making this a 850 grams sword.
3. The customer provided some fittings for us to use.
