Eagle jingum

A Haidong gumdo master wanted to create a unique sword that is based on American eagle motif. 

We engraved a full eagle on the blade, and a wing and talon on the handle side and blade side of the tsuba, respectively. The design intention was that when the sword is drawn, talon becomes visible to the opponent, symbolizing that an eagle is on attack. We also created custom silver menuki for this project.

The second gumjip (scabbard) for this product was made of walnut tree.
