After a few weeks of practice with this particular Kagum, I can honestly say it's perfectly suited for any and all practice needs. The balance when practicing cutting strokes is perfect to simulate using an actual Jin Kum, and the construction is solid enough to practice forms and other movements with the feel of a Jin Kum (minus the risk of cutting something off).
As a head Kum Do instructor, I cannot recommend this more for those who seriously practice sword arts.
