All custom L6 blades in shirasaya will be personally created by the master bladesmith. The blade is made of L6 steel and differentially heat treated. The default hamon (temperline) is suguha with slight midare. The handle is fixed at two points to provide excellent stability but you can also request single pin tsuka construction.
All our L6 katanas are covered with lifetime quality guarantee. Even with extensive tameshigiri (cutting) practice, the blade will not suffer any bends or breakage. We will replace the blade at no charge if such damage arises at anytime. The customers are strongly encouraged to keep the proof of purchase as custom mounted blade is hard to recognize.
The blade will come with default brass habaki. The delivery time for a custom sword is approximately 8 weeks.
