Martialartswords.com will create a custom L6 katana according to your specification.  All custom katanas will be personally created by the master bladesmith.  You can design a custom katana easily within a few minutes using the various fitting and style options listed below. If you are looking for more detailed custom work or if you want us to collaborate with other artists to make your sword, please feel free to contact us.

The blade is made of L6 steel and differentially heat treated. The default hamon (temperline) is suguha with slight midare.  The handle is fixed at two points to provide excellent stability but you can also request single pin tsuka construction. All parts are carefully crafted and fitted together. You will find our saya to fit perfectly to each blade.

All our L6 katanas are signed by the smith and they are covered with lifetime quality guarantee. Even with extensive tameshigiri (cutting) practice, the blade will not suffer any bends or breakage. We will replace the blade at no charge if such damage arises at anytime.

The delivery time for a custom sword is approximately 8 weeks.

Note: if silver is selected as fitting material, white brass will be used as tsuba material unless requested otherwise.
Note: some combinations cannot be specified together (i.e. Vine II fittings with buffalo horn on scabbard) and some kashira cannot be applied to a katana.
